but dont want to fork over the $$ associated with owning a twin turbo that is properly built (not referring to a JDM swap).
Well here it is, the answer to your prayers. An NA Z32 comparable to a stage III TTZ in power yet
superior in cornering and braking.
This page is not intended to change your mind from TT to NA.
(after all, there is no way to achieve the Hp mark of a built twin turbo with an NA and like anyone else we love the big power and our Twin Turbo Z's).
However, if your avail. funds can get you either a built NA or tired used TT that you can't afford to properly restore then your choice is easier than you think.
Some Pros. & Cons. to consider
- If you dont have a Z yet and plan on purchasing one, you are far more likely to pick up an inexpensive NA that has not been run to the ground by the previous owners.
- NA's are also easier to work on (wether you are the one doing the work or paying for it) and therefore cheaper to service.
- We sell track prepped engines for the NA and TT. Cost of the short block or long block are comparable, however if its a TT you own then count on the extra costs of:
turbos, upgraded injectors, radiator, and intercoolers to name only a few.
- Plus dont forget about the expensive brake upgrade and suspension mods you will need to keep the heavy TTZ competative with its Lighter NA sibling.
- Less weight means a faster car on the track, whether you Road race, Drift, or Drag. We have already accomplished Stage III performance on a tired NA engine.
- Check back when the Simtec long block and tuned ecu push this Z into the heavily modded turbo region...

Baseline
Dyno tuning result numbers utilizing a prototype EFI engine management system
Current power: 220whp (translates to approx 260hp compared to the stock rating of 222)
Engine condition: very used 180K mile engine with average compression.
